A book that I ordered, Researching and writing a dissertation: a guidebook for business students, by Colin Fisher, caught my attention. It arrived in the library a short while ago, and is normally kept at 810.61 FIS alongside similar books on writing dissertations, reports and proposals.
In fact, the Fisher book has already been borrowed, but if you want it, or any other book that’s on loan, you can request a copy through the Catalogue.

When a book you’ve requested has been returned to the library, we’ll let you know.

Compiled by the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM), Medline is the world’s most comprehensive source of life sciences and biomedical bibliographic information. It contains nearly eleven million records. Now it’s available for searching with a backfile to 1950, by members of Heriot-Watt University, via the Web of Knowledge. Via the Web of Knowledge, through the ‘All databases’ feature, you can search Medline at the same time as searching Web of Science, ISI Proceedings and Journal Citation Reports.
Medline (1997 onwards) is also available via CSA Illumina, so now you can choose which service you prefer.
For more databases available to members of Heriot-Watt University, see our Databases and other electronic resources list.
