The Library staff wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Remember to return or renew all your books before you leave for the vacation. You can check which books you have on loan, and renew them, through the catalogue - select Patron Functions to see your details.

Both Libraries will be open during the vacation; in common with the rest of the University, we will be closed between Christmas and New Year and will re-open on Thursday 3 January.

We look forward to seeing you in 2008.

Happy birthday!

2 December 2007

Yes, its the birthday of the spineless? blog. We’re one year old!

In the last year there have been more than 200 posts to this blog, in 10 categories (see the toolbar to the right), which have received over 17,000 views.

The most popular post by far was eBooks available through NetLibrary, followed by Open Access - some pointers, eBooks in building and construction, and Library projects: PerX. The post about opening hours during the Easter weekend also received a large number of views, which shows that Heriot Watt students and staff don’t stop for holidays!

We hope you’ve found spineless? useful and of interest over the past year. We’re always interested in your thoughts, and also if you have any questions about the library and its services, so please feel free to make comments, or to email libhelp@hw.ac.uk
